Adam Qutaishat is a music and theatre professional located in the Milwaukee, WI area. Adam holds a Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Adam specializes in musical theatre but also works in classical, jazz, choral, and instrumental music. Adam currently serves as the Associate Artistic Director of Music Theatre of Madison and as an Artistic Associate of All In Productions.
As an actor Adam has performed with Next Act Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Music Theatre of Madison, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Renaissance Theaterworks, The House Theatre of Chicago, All in Productions, Playwrights Center, American Gothic Performing Arts Festival, the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, and many more. As a singer Adam has performed with the Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses national tour and has served as the tenor section leader in the Chant Claire Chamber Choir. As a composer Adam has written for choral, instrumental, and electronic music. Adam's piece Snowy Owls was premiered in 2016 and their Incidental Music for Romeo + Juliet was commissioned in 2015. Adam's debut musical -- co-written with Heidi Joosten -- Micro, will have its first reading in December 2021 as part of Music Theatre of Madison's Wisconsin New Musicals Cycle. Adam also composed an album of songs for a children's book that is due for release in 2021. As a writer, Adam has created and written five podcasts with two more in production. Adam's first full length play, Absent: A Text Play received a partial workshop through The Lab, and is set for a workshop reading with All In Productions in November of 2021. Adam's short play Mixed was a finalist for the Wisconsin Writes Monologue festival in 2021. Adam served as choral director of Grafton High School for three and a half years and has directed and music directed musicals and operas for many theatres and served as co-director for a musical concept album called An American Mythology. |
